Magnet Kitchens signs ten-year lease on historic Farnham retail unit

• Landmark Grade II listed retail property in central Farnham let to Magnet Kitchens

A private landlord, advised by Curchod & Co, has let 41-42 The Borough in Farnham to Magnet Kitchens on a new ten-year lease.

Located in a prime trading position in the town centre, the 3,663 sq ft three-storey property, previously occupied by fashion retailer White Stuff, is one of Farnham’s most recognisable historic buildings, providing ground and part first-floor retail space with additional ancillary accommodation over all three floors.

The new tenant is expected to open for trading this month.

Matthew Munday of Curchod & Co commented: “To have secured this new letting to Magnet Kitchens so soon after completing refurbishment works is good news for Farnham.

“The upgrade of this historic building underlines the strong demand from national and regional retailers for high-quality, characterful space in prominent town centre locations. This transaction is further evidence of Farnham’s attractiveness as a retail destination and the resilience of well-located high street assets,” he added.

The unit’s proximity to major national retailers, including Boots, Clarks and JoJo Maman Bébé, and has pedestrian access from the nearby Central car park were instrumental in the Magnet Kitchen’s decision-making process.
