Children’s nursery operator takes 3,904 sq ft former pub in Alton

Cavendish and Gloucester Properties, advised by Curchod & Co LLP, has let a 3,904 sq ft former public house at 20 London Road, Alton, Hampshire to First Friends Nursery.

The growing childcare provider has taken the prominent roadside property on a new lease. Although the lease length and rent remain undisclosed, the deal marks a strategic expansion for First Friends, which now operates six settings.

The self-contained property benefits from generous car parking and a secure rear garden area, making it particularly well-suited to nursery use. The site was previously occupied by the Queens Head public house and sits in a prominent roadside position within easy reach of Alton town centre.
