Rent uplift of 52% secured on pharmacy letting in Merrow, Guildford

A private investor, advised by Curchod & Co, has let 4 Kingfisher Court in Merrow, Guildford, Surrey to a pharmacy on a new 15-year lease at an annual rent of £38,000, representing a fifty-two per cent uplift on the previous rent.

The 1,900 sq ft double fronted retail unit has been let on a lease without break, ensuring long-term security of income. The deal also maintains a pharmacy presence for the local community, following the closure of the local branch of Boots.

Alex Blown of Curchod & Co commented: “This is an excellent result for our client, achieving a substantial rent increase and a strong lease commitment from the tenant. It also ensures continuity of pharmacy provision in Merrow, which will be a great benefit for residents.”

Located within the Kingfisher Court retail parade, the property benefits from rear access for deliveries and nearby free parking.
