Amalgamated Berkshire Properties, advised by Curchod & Co and Orme Retail, has let 3 Town Hall Buildings in Farnham, Surrey to Blue Bear Bookshop Limited.
The 777 sq ft shop property has been taken on a ten-year lease at an annual rent of £45,000.
Matthew Seary of Curchod & Co said: “The owners of Blue Bear Books are taking a fresh perspective on what a bookshop can offer and will be looking to create a shopping ‘experience’. As well as selling books and gifts, the shop will feature a café and a board games room. It will also provide a dog-friendly environment and will feature armchairs and tables for customers.
“With the changes we are experiencing in the retail market, we are likely to see more shop owners taking a fresh approach to attracting shoppers in this manner,” he added.
Any time we start something new it is exciting and we are very motivated and committed. As time goes by, however, the burst of enthusiasm can wane as the reality of how much work is going to be involved kicks in. When you find yourself slacking a little and not being as enthused about the new change or goal you are working towards, that isn’t a sign to quit. It is a sign that it is time to re-commit.
