· Curchod & Co comes together to reflect, reconnect and set the course for the year ahead
The Curchod & Co team recently gathered for the firm’s annual company ‘Kickstarter’, an awayday from the office designed to take stock, look forward, and strengthen the bonds that make the business what it is. All 30 members of staff attended the event, held in the beautiful surroundings of Guildford Cricket Club.

Led by partner Piers Leigh, the day brought the whole team together to review performance and progress over the past twelve months, set a clear direction for the year ahead, and, crucially, hear directly from staff on how Curchod & Co can continue to improve both the business and the service it delivers to clients.
Piers commented, “Days like this are invaluable. When you bring everyone together with a shared purpose, to be honest about where we are and ambitious about where we’re going, the energy in the room is something you simply can’t replicate remotely. I came away genuinely inspired by the quality of thinking and commitment across the whole team.”
The day’s theme, ‘Flight to quality’, was chosen to reflect the dynamics currently shaping the commercial property market. Occupiers and investors alike are increasingly willing to pay a premium for the best-in-class buildings, and those properties are letting and selling more quickly as a result. Meanwhile, secondary stock continues to face headwinds. For Curchod & Co, it serves as both a market observation and a rallying call: in a quality-driven market, the service and expertise the firm brings to every instruction matter more than ever.
“It was a very useful, enjoyable and productive day. The whole team engaged brilliantly, and the conversations we had will genuinely shape how we operate over the next twelve months,” said Richard Newsam, the firm’s managing partner.
Events like the Kickstarter reflect Curchod & Co’s commitment to being a business that listens, improves, and invests in its people, qualities that ultimately benefit every client the firm serves.
