- Rent review settled as shortage of industrial space in Surrey and Hampshire continues to drive rental growth
Property consultancy Curchod & Co has secured a rent review settlement resulting in a 59.4% increase in rent for a warehouse unit in Farnham, Surrey, occupied by Kwik Fit.
Acting on behalf of landlord LondonMetric Property plc, Curchod & Co successfully concluded the rent review at Unit 8, Farnham Trading Estate, Water Lane, Farnham, delivering a substantial uplift in rental income.
The occupier was represented by Kwik Fit’s in-house estates team.
Extending to approximately 9,110 sq ft, the property comprises a traditional high-bay industrial and warehouse unit with a maximum eaves height of 6.07 metres, parking for 23 vehicles and a yard to the rear and side. The property occupies a prominent position opposite Sainsbury’s and benefits from excellent visibility from the supermarket car park.
Nick Reeve, Partner at Curchod & Co, said: “This result demonstrates the strength of demand for well-located industrial accommodation across the region. By combining detailed market evidence with a thorough understanding of the property and its location, we were able to secure a significant uplift for our client. Despite wider economic uncertainty, the underlying fundamentals of the industrial market remain strong. A shortage of available industrial and warehouse space across Surrey and Hampshire continues to place upward pressure on rents, particularly for quality units in established trade and industrial locations.”
