Curchod & Co XI close the cricket season with a dinner at Borellis

Curchod & Co Cricket Dinner 2026

The Curchod & Co cricket XI wrapped up the 2026 season last night with its end-of-season dinner at Borellies Wine Bar in Farnham. Players and supporters gathered to look back on the five games, plenty of enjoyment and a few moments best left to the imagination. We’ll draw a discreet veil over the results!

As tradition demands, awards were handed out. The serious silverware went to two players who did the business on the pitch; Curchod & Co partner Piers Leigh topped the batting averages, while Pete Wild took the bowling honours. Congratulations to both.

Then came the coveted ‘Wooden Bat’ Trophy, awarded to the player with the lowest batting average of the season. This year’s recipient was Curchod & Co’s very own Matt Munday, remarkably a former Player of the Season in 2024, proving just how quickly fortunes can change in cricket.

The Curchod & Co XI draws on players from the firm and the local business community, and the season showed what a good mix of people it brings together. Whether you’re a seasoned player or haven’t picked up a bat since school, you’d be very welcome.

As well as looking for new players, we’re also happy to hear from other businesses who’d like to field a team against us next year. If that sounds like you, please get in touch.

Many thanks to everyone who played, supported and joined us at Borellis.
