Curchod & Co finest footballers took part in the RSM Football Tournament recently, held at the Places Leisure Centre in Eastleigh and attended by 21 teams of professional service businesses from across the region.
The Curchod & Co squad included Alex ‘The Beast’ Blown, Matt ‘The Menace’ Munday, Keith ‘The Cat’ Enters, Edward ‘Rocky’ Rees, Kyran ‘Chopper’ Copestick, Joseph ‘Psycho’ Smith and Tom ‘The Ninja’ Nurton.
Team Curchod played a total of six games throughout the afternoon and netted an impressive ten goals. They won two games but didn’t bring the trophy home.
A defiant team captain, Tom Nurton said “The boys worked hard in challenging conditions, but Lady Luck was not playing for us today and, at times, I thought we were over-reliant on the woodwork. As I say to the lads after most games, losing is not the end of the world, but an opportunity to learn and come back stronger!
“We are already planning extra training sessions before the next time we pull on the red shirts,” he added.
Mat ‘The Menace’ Munday was voted the team’s Player of the Tournament.
