Savers takes new lease at Chineham Shopping Centre, Basingstoke

  • A healthy addition to the tenant mix

Supermarket Income REIT, advised by Curchod & Co and Morgan Williams, has let a 3,903 sq ft retail unit at Unit D, Chineham Shopping Centre in Basingstoke to health and beauty retailer Savers.

The occupier has agreed on a new lease on the prominent out-of-town shopping centre unit, which forms part of a modern neighbourhood retail destination. Terms of the deal, including the lease length and rent, have not been disclosed.

Tom Clancy, Associate Partner at Curchod & Co, commented: “The arrival of Savers reflects ongoing demand from affordable health and beauty retailers looking to expand their footprint in well-located neighbourhood schemes. With growing consumer focus on wellbeing, this letting reinforces Chineham’s appeal as a convenient retail destination serving everyday needs.”

Savers was represented by GCW in the transaction.

Chineham Shopping Centre is anchored by Tesco and offers a strong mix of national and independent occupiers, with ample on-site parking and easy access from Basingstoke town centre and surrounding residential areas.
