Nick – looking remarkably fresh after running 26 miles!
Curchod & Co’s Nick Reeve has completed the 2025 London Marathon, finishing in an impressive time of 3 hours and 52 minutes – despite unseasonably warm weather that saw many runners struggle in the final stages.
Nick took on the challenge to raise funds for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, a cause close to his heart. Thanks to the generous support of clients, colleagues, friends and family, he raised £3,370 for the charity.
Reflecting on the day, Nick described the atmosphere as “unbelievable”, with the crowd offering vital encouragement throughout. But he admitted the heat and the final six miles were “unbearable”, joking that he “survived… but only just!”
Since January, Nick has completed 52 training runs covering 339 miles. Now that the race is over, he’s not quite sure what to do with all his spare time, though he says another run might be on the cards.
“Thank you to everyone who donated,” he said. “Your support meant a lot – and definitely helped get me through those tough final miles.”
As for what’s next? “London 2026…? We’ll see!” he added.
It’s not too late to donate via his JustGiving page: www.justgiving.com/page/nick-reeve-1719931410790 (and it might just encourage Nick to do it again next year!).
