Curchod & Co’s Nick Reeve has been fortunate enough to witness the progress being made with Phyllis Tuckwell’s new, state-of-the-art hospice in Farnham, having recently been invited to the site by the local charity. The new hospice, currently under construction, will replace the organisation’s existing site on Waverley Lane, ensuring that patients and families continue to receive the best possible care in modern, purpose-built surroundings.

While construction has been taking place, the charity was able to relocate to Headway House on Crosby Way, in Farnham, allowing the hospice’s teams can continue their vital work in modern office accommodation close to Farnham town centre, without the burden of additional property costs. Headway House has been made available to the charity free of charge by local businesswoman Jeanette Bird, who joined Nick on the site visit. Curchod & Co brokered the deal with Phyllis Tuckwell.
Nick commented, “Phyllis Tuckwell is an extraordinary local charity that touches countless families in our community. It has been a privilege to play a small role in supporting their journey to a new hospice. Jeanette’s generosity in providing Headway House has saved Phyllis Tuckwell many thousands of pounds, allowing more of its resources to be directed towards patient care and the new building project.”
The relationship between Curchod & Co and Phyllis Tuckwell is long-standing, with the firm regularly offering pro bono property advice, lease negotiations and fundraising support.
