Declared a new town in 1949, Bracknell experienced huge growth and expansion over the second half of the 20th century. The town centre of Bracknell has undergone a £750 million regeneration in recent years, boosting visitor numbers to the town and improving facilities for local residents.

The local economy is strong due to Bracknell’s thriving commercial centre and excellent employment opportunities, with the area being home to a high concentration of major global companies and technology firms including Dell, Microsoft, Hitachi and Oracle. In fact, Bracknell forms part of the region often touted as the UK’s very own “Silicon Valley” and provides a haven for ambitious working professionals whether working in Bracknell or nearby Reading and London.

Key commercial areas in Bracknell

While there are many businesses located within the town centre itself, the majority of the business areas within Bracknell are located to the west of the town centre, where the A329(M) provides fast and direct access to the M4 motorway at Junction 10.

Notable business locations include Arlington Square Business Park, SEGRO Park, Maxis Business Park and Bracknell Business Park, which occupies a prominent site within the Southern Industrial Area of Bracknell.

Transport links.

While the A329(M) provides a direct link between the M4 motorway and Bracknell, the A322 provides fast and direct access to the M3 motorway (Junction three) which is approximately 5 miles to the south of the town.

Railway connections from the town are provided by the Reading to London Waterloo line, which also provides an easy connection with the London Paddington-Wales and South West lines.  Heathrow Airport is easily accessible within around 30 minutes and there is a bus service to London Victoria and the airport.
