Curchod & Co is seeking an accounts assistant to join its accounts / commercial property management team at its Weybridge office, in a role suited to candidates looking to develop their accounting career within the property sector.
The position sits within a busy accounts department handling both commercial property management and company accounts, with the successful candidate working directly under the head of accounts. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing and maintaining service charge accounts in line with RICS regulations, preparing and reviewing service charge budgets, producing client statements and VAT reporting, and liaising with external accountants on year-end accounts. The role also involves working closely with the property management team to resolve accounts queries as they arise.
The firm is looking for candidates with a BSc in accountancy, an AAT qualification or equivalent, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team. Knowledge of property accounting software such as Qube, or familiarity with Sage, would be welcomed but is not essential.
