

The retail vacancy rate in Farnham town centre has dropped to 11.76% in Q2 2025, down from a revised 14.38% in Q1, according to new figures from Curchod & Co.
The fall reflects a steady flow of new lettings and occupier interest. Four units were let during the quarter, including Magnet Kitchens at 41–42 The Borough, and another four are currently under offer. Notably, Higher Ground Kaffe has opened at 1 Borelli Yard, a convenience store has been let at 28 The Borough and is currently being fitted out, and the Farnham Herald has taken space at 21 Downing Street, also undergoing fit-out works.
Only one property became vacant in the same period, 4A Downing Street, formerly Laly’s Chemist, which has relocated to a new health centre development elsewhere in the town.
Harry Ford from Curchod & Co, commented: “The figures show a market that is quietly stabilising. While high streets across the country are facing well-known pressures, Farnham is proving resilient. Demand is focused, but real, and there’s a healthy mix of national and independent operators looking at the town. There’s still work to do, but the overall direction is encouraging.”
