Festival Place letting signals growing demand for Basingstoke QSR space

MDSR Investments, advised by Curchod & Co LLP, has let a 1,605 sq ft retail unit at Unit 9 Chelsea House, Festival Place Shopping Centre, Basingstoke, to Australian fast-food franchise Zambrero.

Zambrero, which serves Mexican cuisine and operates more than 300 restaurants across Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the United States and the UK, has taken the unit on a new lease. The letting marks a further step in the brand’s expansion into the UK market.

The unit sits within Festival Place’s established QSR hub, neighbouring occupiers including Chi, Kokoro, Burger King and Popeyes.

Tom Clancy, Associate Partner at Curchod & Co LLP, said: “There is strong occupier demand for well-positioned units within Festival Place, and this letting reflects that. Zambrero brings an exciting new offer to the scheme and reinforces the quality of the QSR hub, which continues to attract some of the most recognisable names in food and beverage retail.”

Zambrero was unrepresented in the transaction.
