restaurants in camberley

Camberley is just of one of several towns which make up the Surrey Heath borough and its reputation as the main town has clearly attracted many catering organisations to the area. Whether you want to network over coffee, enjoy a relaxing pint after a hard day at the office or perhaps wine and dine a potential client, then Camberley will have something that will tick all of the boxes. We have provided just a short list of eateries for you to consider.

The Bear Camberley

This local pub prides itself on its extensive range of Belgian or craft beers and homemade food, but what makes it particularly unique is its relaxed ambience which is created by a selection of board games on offer for the locals to enjoy. Moreover, their relationship with the local community has worked its way onto the menu, with several local suppliers such as the local baker Good Taste of Camberley providing freshly baked bread, the butcher Reeves of Yately providing fine cuts of meat and, of course, Rawnsley’s the greengrocers offering fresh fruit and veg. This means you get to enjoy fresh local food that also supports the local independent community. With prices starting from only £5.75 for a chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich you don’t have to break the bank.

Crown and Cushion

This olde-worlde pub promises to greet you with a warm welcome, delicious food all day long and a superb carvery in the stunning Meade Hall in front of roaring log fires on a cold, crisp evening. Its close proximity to junction 4A and the M3 makes it the perfect spot to stop off for a quick bite to eat or perhaps some al fresco dining and drinking.

Coupled with its recent award as the Pub of the Year 2018 (by Shepherd Neame) and its delicious new vegan menu, which offers mains from as little as £12.95 for spicy bean enchiladas or £5.95 for chocolate and coconut tart, raspberry coulis and red fruit, it is easy to see why it is so popular with the locals.

Mehdi

After opening in 2015, this Indian restaurant and takeaway continues to offer its diners top-quality ingredients, spices and freshly cooked Eastern food with a touch of Western influence. More information can be found on their website (www.mehdiindian.co.uk).

El Pic Spanish Tapas Bar

One of the longest standing independent restaurants that Camberley has to offer provides the perfect location for traditional tapas, great service and a romantic meal for two or perhaps a celebratory meal for more. Prices start from just £15 per person for an appetiser with three tapas on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Matt Worswick at The Latymer

If Michelin star dining is what you are seeking, then look no further than The Latymer restaurant at Pennyhill Park Hotel in Bagshot. This fine dining establishment offers bold flavours, ingredients that are sourced from the local area, delicious tasting menus and for those extra special occasions when you want to impress, a table in the heart of all the action amongst the chefs themselves. The Chef’s table can seat between 4 to 8 guests and is perfect for those private celebrations. Tailored menus can also be created by Matt along with wine pairings should you wish to toast a new contract with a client. Matt’s five course tasting menu for dinner starts from just £69 per person or £80 per person for a six glass wine flight. You can find out more about Matt and his 4 AA Rosette Michelin star restaurant on their website.

High Street Favourites
