CDM Coordinator

Our Chartered Building Surveyors provide services as CDM Coordinator for all HSE notifiable projects either in conjunction with our general construction and administration functions, or for larger shemes, as an independent role.
Clients have a responsibility to ensure their project meets required Health and Safety safety standards as part of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007.
The CDM Coordinator replaces the old role of Planning Supervisor.
Our role includes:
- client advice on duties.
- notification to the HSE.
- coordination of the design and planning for health and safety.
- identification, management and communication of pre construction information to all parties.
- advice on sufficiency of the construction phase plan.
- production of the health and safety file for the building owner's future use.

Feasibility Studies

Professional advice on the viability and suitablility of a proposed scheme.
Appraisal of an existing structure for potential alteration i.e loadbearing walls.
Advice on budgets and timescales.
Guidance on the web of regulations and consents required.

Party Walls

Our Chartered Surveyors regularly act for those intending to carry out works and those potentially affected by them.

The Party Wall etc Act 1996 applies to any alteration to walls separating properties, or where excavations will be carried out near a neighbour's building.

We can advise on the requirement for notices, and draft these as needed.

Where owners dissent from (do not agree) proposals we can act as the Building Owner's Surveyor, Adjoing Owner's Surveyor or an Agreed Surveyor.

We can draw up necessary Party Wall Awards which safeguard the rights of the owners.

Properties can be inspected and schedules of condition often with a photographic record are prepared as part of any Award.

Town Planning

Experienced Chartered Surveyors and Consultants to assist you with increasing beaurocracy.
